No hip hop for me this week: been making mix CDs for my girlfriends party on Saturday, so I've been hearing lots of 80's dance music: Inner City, SOS Band, that sort of thing. Been quite enjoying it really!

Good find, CrazyDave, lots of good stuff on there. Yesterday and earlier this morning, I was pumping the hell out of the "Fresh" soundtrack, particularly "Catch The Beat" by T Ski Valley, "Do You Wanna Rock" by The Funky Four Plus One, "Funkbox" by Masterdon And The Def Committee, and "It's Nasty" by Grandmaster Flash And The Furious Five.

Yeah, it's my 4th album from that Sequel Records series...
It's just great to be able to get single-artist collections on CD.

So far I've got Crash Crew, Sugar Hill Gang, Funky 4+1 and the T3.
Might pick up West St Mob, Positive Force, & GMFlash someday.

I have been stuck on the Crash Crews High power rap. I have always loved this song, and can listen to it anytime.

If they did it like they used to, I would still prefer the old school. L.E.S. for life

Watch out because the Female Pioneers are going to shake things up and set it off so prepare yourselves for the ride. 06/08
