You know an old BLS/KISS head like myself sure appreciates this, listening to these shows is like having the luxury of smoking a cuban cigar, "nostalgic and pleasurable".. i'll check it out tommorow at work, by the way if u don't mind me asking how old are u Makdafi??

| Thanks, yeah I really love this stuff, I got a few more shows(non magic) I'll post asap. I'm 18, but I got an old soul, about all of the new music makes me sick(especially modern radio) I wish it was still like WBLS, oh well, hopefully more people out there have some magic tapes, or any other tapes for that matter. I've been wanting to post some joints on this forum, but with the curse of 56k, it was impossible(I d/led all of those with a 56k connection lol, now that's love) I ripped them in 96k, so the 56k users out there can d/l these without spending 7 hours a piece for them. Awhile back I asked for some Magic tapes, but everyone wants to trade, I just wish people would upload what they have. |

| Cool, yeah I've been waiting to post some stuff on here for awhile, but with 56k it was impossible, so I'm just making good on my word. I have another red alert I'll post, Africa Islam,and Dymamic Duo from 83. I got most of this stuff from Chilly awhile back, so big thanks to him. |

Yo Makdafi , that Mr. Magic (1988) clip that you posted first is TOO ILL FOR WORDS!!!!...i'm bugging how Magic is doing the top 3 wackest songs for 88, and the list includes:
3# "No Sleep Till Brooklyn" by the BEASTIE BOYS....
Don't know what the fukk Magic is thinking, but that joint was dope, loved the guitar riff as well as the party theme lyrics that they spit, "My job ain't a job it's a DAMN GOOD TIME"...didn't know Magic disliked the Beasties. hmmm intresting.
2# "Brooklyn Blew Up the Bridge" - M.C Mitch Ski...not only does Magic diss the tune, but he disses the MC's name and any mc who chooses "SKI" as a suffix, said he should be named Cub-Ski...HA HA...
1# "Red Alert Is A Great Man"- I'M ASSUMING THIS is the tune that he is refrencing, cause Magic is such a HATER HE WOULDN'T PLAY THIS SONG ...ha ha, talking about his contract prevents him from stating the name of another deejay on a rival station, but he stated the song is about a guy "who claims to be a great man"...ha ha

General Tarik El was nice enough to pm me a site awhile back that has a ton of mixes(http://www.deephousepage.com/), I got 3 from this site this morning, another Magic one(christmas of 88),and a 2 part Pete Rock one. I'll upload these right now. You guys should check this site out, alot of mixes on there. Hopefully someone else has some tapes they can share, b/c I can't get enough Magic tapes.
