What's up gang?
Here's another thing I'd like to do with this forum. When I post a new recording review, I'd like to see if any of you would like to jump on board as well (if you've heard the record). I'll post all reviews on the site.
First up is the new reissue compilation of Captain Rock - To The Future Shock.

| I have the LP of this and I don't recall the extra You Stink Dub beats, I'm pretty sure they're CD only which might be noted in the review. Overall it's a positive review, a little bit short without getting into the tracks in particular but that may not be that necessary to keep things concise, as I'm sure most have experience with one or more Capt. Rock tracks. It's a very good LP although there's nothing on there that makes it worth getting if you have all the 12"s as there's no bonus stuff at all, in fact a couple of the mixes are truncated for the LP. But, this is one of the important things, this LP is the only easy way to get all of them in one place, especially the quite rare Bongo Beat, which can go for a good bit on eBay depending on the day. And also it was mentioned that Captain Rock is getting his cut from the sales which makes it a good buy for anyone who has the 12"s but bought them second hand, a good way to give back some. |

Even though i own all his singles, i still wanted this CD to have them in digital quality. I bought it, and was very dissapointed that some of the versions were different from the 12"s.
I sold it within weeks. |
