I know out of all the hip hop aficionados on this forum someone has to be able to identify these cuts. There are too many knowledgeable heads and career DJs here for not a single person to be able to identify these cuts. I really need your help here to identify these hip hop instrumentals/DJ breaks, guys. *on knees begging*

________________________________

The first instrumental is from the Golden Era (1987-1989). It received heavy rotation in the summer of 1989 on Philly’s Power 99 FM in mixed sets though much like Mikey D’s “I Get Rough” and MC Serch’s “Hey Boy!”, which also were in heavy rotation on Power 99 that summer, though, like those cuts, it was likely released earlier. The song’s main music track is sampled from Area Code 615’s “Stone Fox Chase” and the only recallable vocal was the occasional repetition of:

This beat is so…
Out of sight
This beat is so…
Out of sight

The “out of sights” are spoken by at least two voices (one male, one female) and are obviously sampled from different sources. There is also a strong electro portion of the song that sounds very much like something that would have been done by Mantronix or someone in that camp, but I do know that the song I am looking for is not “Listen to the Bass (Get Stupid Fresh, Part 2).” I already have a copy of that cut and unless there is a dramatically remixed version of that song, it is not “Listen to the Bass.”

________________________________

The second instrumental is from the late-1990s and it samples from a number of old school and, what was then, contemporary cuts. The main music is from Kool and the Gang’s “Hollywood Swinging” with a vocal sample from Vaughan Mason & Crew’s “Bounce, Rock, Skate, Roll” repeating “bounce, bounce, bounce” during what would be the chorus for lack of a better term. This song also samples Lauryn Hill’s vocal:

Whatcha gonna do
Kids are acting oooohhhh

from the Fugees “Nappy Heads Remix.” There are other samples in this cut, but I cannot remember them right now. What I do remember is that each verse, as it where, was a repeating sample from a different song with the “Bounce, Rock, Skate, Roll” sample used during the choruses and “Hollywood Swinging” as the overall underlying music. It has been suggested that this may be a Crooklyn Clan cut, but if that is the case I need more of a lead (e.g. song title) since there is quite a bit of Crooklyn Clan songs out there.

Any assistance that can be provided would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Not too sure of the 1st, but the second is "Everybody Bounce" by the Rude Rydims Experiment. On the B side around 94. I've seen it on reprints and various bootlegs.

Thanks peeps. I’ll look out for that cut.

Anyone with ideas on the first cut from the Golden Era. Any help would be more than greatly appreciated.

I just purchased a new copy of “Everybody Bounce” by Rude Rydims through GEMM. Thanks again.

I still need some leads on the first song. One other point about the Golden Era instrumental, if I am recalling it correctly, it also has the alarm sound (for lack of a better term) that can be heard throughout Kid N’ Play’s “Do This My Way”. This is the last unidentified song that I need to add to my hip hop database (for now). HELP!!!!
